PTFE / TEFLON (Polytetra-fluoro-etheylene)

PTFE / TEFLON (Polytetra-fluoro-etheylene)

Category: Plastic Material

Specifications
Details

Polytetra-fluoro-etheylene ( PTFE ) exhibits astonishing chemical resistance. This self-lubricating material provides a low friction coefficient and is ideally suited for the manufacture of corrosion-resistant gaskets & seals. One of the most chemically resistant materials available, PTFE also handles continuous service temperatures approaching 2500C

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Exception chemical resistance
  • Good resistance to heat and low temperature
  • Good electrical insulating power in hot and wet environments
  • Good resistance to light, and weathering
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Low dielectric constant/dissipation factor
  • Strong anti-adhesion properties
  • Flexibility
  • Good fatigue resistance under low-stress
  • Availability of food, medical, and high-purity grades
  • Low water absorption

APPLICATIONS

  • Oil & gas
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Chemical
  • Food and beverage machinery
  • O-rings, gaskets, seals, etc …
